Change your printer as the default printer
Setting your printer as the default printer can get back your printer online. All you have to do is;
- Click the Start button, and then select Settings, then select Devices and then choose Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and then Open the queue.
- Go under Printer, select Add as Default Printer.
- Clear Pause Printing and Use Printer Offline if they appear selected.
- Next, a message will pop-up stating, “Window will stop managing your default printer for you.” Select OK.
Note: If you select OK, the last printer you used as a default printer will automatically be stopped by Windows. To re-enable the feature:
- Go to the Start button and select Setting, and then select Devices.
